Atlantis Rising is a co-operative worker placement game in which you must work together with up to six other players to deploy citizens across your homeland, gathering resources in order to build a cosmic gate that can save your people.  But with each passing turn more of the island is destroyed, threatening to jeopardize your mission of saving your homeland.

Each round, players will first place their Atlanteans into different action areas where they will gather different resources. To gather resources successfully, players must roll dice for each worker and attain a certain value. The closer you place workers to the shore, the easier it will be to gather resources, but the more likely you will be to lose your worker to the rising flood waters.

To aid you in your task of saving Atlantis, players seek out world-changing knowledge and mystical energies that can help them find resources and stave off the catastrophic floods. Disaster, however, is always looming over your head. Every turn, each player draws a misfortune card that will flood certain locations along the ever-shrinking Atlantis shoreline, or may otherwise work to undermine your efforts to save your home. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you may find a brief respite in momentary calm seas.

In this dangerous balance between disaster and deliverance, will you keep your head above water?
